About the Company & Our Founder

• J.R. Bahou Ltd was founded in 2006 in London by our group founder and CEO, after whom we have adopted our name today. The original Crescent Global UK entity, our founders first venture, our brand has evolved to reflect the diverse nature of our group’s reinsurance activities, that of reinsurance underwriting from the heart of the City of London and culminated in the ConnectUW Holdings Group.
• Our founder Jamil Robert Elbahou’s career has spanned almost three decades to date in the world’s insurance market in the areas of (re)insurance, risk advisory, and international insurance in all four corners of the globe. As the youngest managing director at 25 of a Lloyd’s broker in recent history, his knowledge, relationships, and entrepreneurial spirit continues to drive our group forward to this day.
• Our Chairman’s love of philanthropy is shared across the culture of the group. The group is proud to support charities close to the heart of our Chairman and his family, and to give back where he believes it matters most.
